Why dogs remain stuck together after sex

Why male and female dogs remain stuck to each other even after sex? No. They are not cuddling. They are not still making love. They are in that position not because they want to but because they have to. It is their helplessness. Because people don't know the real reason behind this process they start developing their own theories. 
Here we will try to explain why they remain stuck.

After male dog is done with intercourse and try to part itself from female dog, it is unable to do so. Male dog's penis remain stuck in female dog's vagina. People do not understand this and start throwing stone on dogs and start beating them thinking that they are helping them getting apart. But they are making things more complex.

What happens is that male dog's penis is swelled after it enters into vagina. This is a natural process and might last for 10-15 minutes. There is a small bone in dog's penis known as baculum. This bone helps him during intercourse. Once penis enters in vagina, blood pressure starts building into the gland known as balbus glandis , found near the root of penis. Because of this process, thickness of penis starts increasing.

It is found that this process not only exists in dogs but in humans as well. Many incidents has been reported when couples were rushed to hospital right after they had intercourse.
