Myths about masturbation

Masturbation always has been associated with various health and sexual problems, but the truth is exactly opposite. It is a natural process. As natural as nature's call in the morning. Myth 1 : Excessive masturbation can cause Erectile Dysfunction. 

Truth : Frequent masturbation can make you habituated or selectively sensitive to some things like vibrators or your own hand. Hence you might not get erection when you are with your partner.

Myth 2 : Masturbation cause blindness.

Truth : Really ? People even believed masturbation could lead to insanity , TB, hairy palms and even death. These beliefs arises because in ancient time people believed sex was meant only for procreation. 

Myth 3 : Married/committed people do not masturbate.

Truth : Justine Marie Shuey, PhD, sexuality educator and a board-certified sexologist in Camden, New Jersey says that people masturbate no matter if they are married or not. According to Kinsey Institute, 92% of men and 62 percent of women masturbate.

Myth 4: Women can become addicted to vibrators.
Truth : No. They can grow fondness towards vibrator stimulation and enjoy it during solo or partnered sex. It is their personal preference and not addiction. 



Myth 5 : Masturbation is for adults.
Truth :  In a survey of 800 people of age over 60 years it was found that 46% of them masturbate.

Myth 6 : Masturbation is not good for children.
Truth : Masturbation is good at any age. Children might not masturbate as you know masturbation but they do touch and explore their genitals. It feels good. Shuey says that there are even ultrasound images where we can see masturbation occurring in uterus.

Myth 7 : Men have to masturbate, women don't.
Truth : Although survey results suggest that men masturbate more than women but it is not due to male biological system.


Now some benefits of masturbation : 
Masturbation has a number of health benefits. Masturbation induce better sleep, reduced stress and tension and fewer headache. It also improves concentration and fitness. Women are also benefited from masturbation. Particularly order women. Such health benefits include less vaginal dryness and pain during sex. 

A word of caution : 
Masturbation can cause problems in relationship. Partners may attach different meanings to it. Although most of the men consider masturbation as sexual pleasure activity, women may consider it infidelity. Masturbation done in a hurry or in improper way may cause few issues like bent penis and premature ejaculation. So always masturbate in a proper manner.

  1. it is very embarrassing to have a small dick that is less than 4 inches erected and still be suffering from premature ejaculation.
